Chrissy Teigen’s approach to food
Teigen has always been a foodie—back in 2011, five years before Cravings hit shelves, she launched her first food blog, So Delushious. In a 2024 interview with Today, she shared that despite previous struggles with diet culture, she now prioritizes balance and focuses on nourishing herself and her children with fresh, whole foods.
“I don’t live in a world where carbs are scary anymore, but I grew up with such diet culture in my household,” she explained. “Now that I have kids, we try to make sure that food is not talked about in a negative way. It’s a positive, fun thing, and you get to indulge sometimes. They have a Happy Meal every once in a while.”
That said, nothing is off-limits. On Cravings by Chrissy Teigen—her current platform for sharing most of her culinary creations—you’ll find recipes that span a wide range of ingredients, including meat, dairy, and eggs. Still, there’s a generous selection of vegetarian options, along with a handful of fully plant-based dishes.
In 2021, Teigen shared a collaboration on Instagram with popular recipe blog The Korean Vegan, noting, “I get so many requests for vegan recipes at Cravings.” Speaking of the blog’s founder, Joanne Lee Molinaro, Teigen added, “She is a master at veganizing Korean food.”
